*A discussion was heard concerning Teacher of the Year and compensation to contribute to expenses incurred with developing the Portfolio required by the AAFCS, and to assist in travel expenses to attend the National Conference. It was suggested that $500.00 was a reasonable amount for expenditures. It was also noted that $500.00 be allotted to aid in the president-elect expenses to attend the National Conference. It was noted that these monies would not be distributed if the National Conference was not attended, or the portfolio was not developed. Ann Durgin will present information at the Fall Conference.

*Resource Center: It was determined that the resource center is no longer housed in Waterville. The new location for the Curriculum Resource Center of Maine is 200 Hogan Road, Bangor, Maine 04401. The director is Tammy F. Grindle. Ronda Lecompte will compile a list of new resources obtained through the grant.

*An evaluation was made of positions available for the 2000-2001 slate of officers.

*Names were suggested for a possible State Advisory Board for Family & Consumer Science. Ann Durgin will make some contacts.

*The Fall MAFCSE Conference was discussed. Ann Durgin will speak to Dick Cook about the possibilities of a joint conference. An evaluation was made as to the relationship of MAFCSE to both MAFCS and MVA. It was determined that connections with both organizations should be maintained.

*The web site was praised and discussion was made as to the possibility of establishing a "chat" room for questions, sharing, concerns, etc.." Barbara Smith will discuss the possibilities with the editors.
